DOMI STATION NAMES BILL LICKSON NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Domi Station is excited to announce that Bill Lickson will be its new Executive Director. Lickson is an accomplished entrepreneur, advisor, and mentor to businesses and start-ups in Tallahassee and across the country.

“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead Domi Station and help add to the phenomenal success Domi has had in cultivating the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our area,” said Lickson. “In light of the global pandemic, organizations and resources like Domi have never been more important. Domi Station has been a catalyst for entrepreneurs and an economic engine that has had an impact on hundreds of businesses through its programs and events. Domi Station will be a key part of what I know will be a vibrant and growing economy in the greater Tallahassee area as we emerge from the current economic crisis,” added Lickson

“We’re looking forward to leveraging Bill’s vast experience,” said Yuh-Mei Hutt, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at Domi Station. “His leadership and expertise will allow Domi to grow and serve our communities in new ways, continue our mission, and add to our successful programs.”

Bill Lickson will be succeeding Antonio Montoya who will be stepping down at the end of June. Montoya, who plans to stay in Tallahassee, will facilitate the transition and also serve as a consultant for the continuity and expansion of Domi’s incubation programs. Domi’s impact grew under Montoya’s leadership, as he established new learning platforms and methods to serve entrepreneurs.

“Antonio and his team have done an amazing job and created a transition to online programs and events for entrepreneurs prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. The GearUp, Ascend, 3rd Act, the Tallahassee Mentor Network, and other programs were able to continue thanks to their forethought and hard work. The Domi team also organized a COVID-19 Task Force and launched a web portal that consolidates the latest information for businesses, non-profits, and individuals related to the virus, guidance, and resources,” said Lickson. “I really appreciate the opportunity to work with Antonio and to learn from him through our transition. It’s also reassuring to know that he’ll still be in our community and continue to add value in many areas.” said Lickson.

“It has been a tremendous privilege to serve Domi Station for the past two years. I love this community and what we’ve built together and I plan to stay engaged moving forward,” said Montoya.
